DELHI BELLY LATEST UPDATE | DELHI BELLY LATEST CONTROVERSY | LATEST UPDATE OF DELHI BELLY

While Aamir Khan’s production house must have already laughed all the way to the bank by now, purists are still fretting and fuming over the no-holds-barred obscenity and profanity in Delhi Belly

When Delhi Belly was first announced, Aamir Khan did so with many cautions, asking minors to stay away from the film. But the fact is that somewhere deep down inside even Aamir (known for his sharp marketing brain) knew that the film would become a phenomenon, despite the ‘A’ certification. The controversies triggered when the DK Bose song was first aired and everyone, including Aamir, must have known that ‘DK Bose’ is a chaste Hindi profanity when chanted repeatedly. Despite that, the song was aired on national television and became a rage with both young and adults. Slowly reactions started trickling in – while the junior lot like Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan liked DK Bose, seniors like Amitabh Bachchan and Gulzar expressed their displeasure. Aamir remained oblivious, even though angry protestors burned effigies of the actor, while a few opportunists slapped lawsuits on Aamir’s production house. The latest case filed is by the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Courttoday, issuing notices to Aamir Khan Productions, the Department of Information and Broadcasting and the Censor Board of Film Certification, challenging the public exhibition certificate issued to Delhi Belly. In one media interaction, Aamir had personified the spirit of his film and chose to react to every allegation by chanting ‘DK Bose’ repeatedly. Wethinks it’s time Aamir realised that he can avoid the matter, but it will run after him anyway…
